How good is your Chinese? … Is it a language where you want to grasp the basics off? — Is you answer yes, then join the Confucius course: learning the basics of Chinese language.
We provide you with the tools and classes, so you can grasp the basics. Classes are provided over a period of 9 weeks. You will gain knowledge and understanding of the Chinese culture and language.

The next course starts in week 1 of module 3. SIGN UP before the beginning of week 1 (of next module).

Invest 10 euros in yourself. Next to that, your contribution will help other, less fortunate, people. Though SIFE’s social projects. Such as Cooking Classes.

Stenden Star

‘American Idol’, ‘Holland’s got Talent’ and ‘Voice of Germany’ are popular talent shows. Yet performing on stage, in front of a huge audience, seems out of reach for almost all of us.

Stenden SIFE proudly presents the ‘Stenden STAR’. This event gives students from Stenden University the opportunity to reach their dreams of achieving stardom, showing their singing and/or dancing talents and being named as the very first Stenden Star. Furthermore, students can win fantastic prices, including recording a professional music video. Other prices will be a surprise. Fellow students as well as teachers are most welcome to join the audience.

In total, three rounds will be held. The auditions will start on the 16^th of May, whereas the half final will be held on the 25^th of May. The big finale is planned on the 1^st of June, consisting of a large concert at the end of Module 4 of 2010 / 2011 on the square between NHL and Stenden.
Participants will be judged by professional judges from several institutes, each with experience and expertise in the field of singing and dancing.

Not only will students be able to show their talents, but it will be a legendary event for all participants and the audience. We promise it will be a memorable event, where you can cheer on for your favorite participant or show whole Stenden your talent while you make friends along the way.

SIFE Win ‘Zeepkist’ Contest

Yesterday Eline Piersma and Jose Zhang participated in the ‘Zeepkist’ contest, where students can present their ideas for community work. Not only did the judges unanimously agreed Stenden SIFE was the winner with our JOB project, we also won the award for being the ‘Most innovative’ team!

Seminar of ING at Stenden

The Regional Director of North-east Netherlands of ING, Olaf ten Thij will come to Stenden
and give a lecture about leadership.
A brief introduction will be given about the ING company and the ING theorethical framework will be discussed as well as their perception on leaders of the future. Furthermore, Mr. ten Thij will also share with us his vision on leadership along with examples.

This lecture will be held at 17.30 hours, 30th of March in the Auditorium

Enrollment Procedure

Dear students:

This is te new enrollment procedure for the students who interesting STENDEN SIFE. Please read it
carefully before you enroll for SIFE.

Step 1. Read about SIFE on sife.org and stenden-sife.nl
Step 2. Come to the SIFE office room 1.13 and get a handbook for applicants along with a copy of membership contract
Step 3. Decide which project or department you are particularly interested in.
Step 4. Appoint an interview with HR manager mentioning project or department of your interest.
Step 5. Sign up a contract and fill in a skills form, enroll yourself on sife.org.
Step 6. Follow 2 orientation days in SIFE under the supervision of your department/project manager.
Step 7. Attend at least 2 SIFE workshops.

Welcome Event for TEAM Project

18th of March at 2011, welcome event for STENDEN SIFE TEAM project was finished. 68 students attended this event, 6 presentations were given by TEAM project members. In the end of the presentations, the TEAM Project manager also organised a hotel tour for international students.
