History

Stenden SIFE started out as CHN SIFE in 2003. First connected to the CHN university in Leeuwarden, the name changed in 2008 to Stenden SIFE. This change came from the merger of the CHN Hogeschool and Drenthe Hogeschool. The schools decided on the new name Stenden, which was then passed on to the SIFE team.

Every year, all SIFE teams compete in the national competition, with the chance of going to the world cup. Stenden SIFE won the nationals three times in a row, in 2005, 2006 and 2007. Already for many years now, Stenden SIFE is seen as one of the best teams in the Netherlands. In 2004, Stenden SIFE also received the Spirit of SIFE award. This motivates the Stenden SIFE team even more to work hard.
